Beware of Phishing Mails. How to identify and prevent fradulent emails.
Dear Swizzonic customer,
We care about your personal safety a as much as we care about your data safety online. The latter currently also faces increased threat due to a rapid growth of cybercrime and cyber attacks during the coronavirus pandemic.
There are currently phishing mails in circulation, forged with the former company name switchplus.ch.
The content of this scam mail refers to our General Terms and Condition paragraph 11.3.
- This information is complete fraud. The paragraph and regulation does not exist.
Additionally the email says, that you’ve exceeded your Mailbox storage and asks you to follow a link.
- This link is not legit and transfers you to the scammers Phishing-Website.
How to protect from this fraud email ?
1. First of all, delete the email
- Don’t click any link given in the email,
- Don’t fill in any forms and logins,
- Don’t respond to the email.
You can also contribute to Switzerland’s cybersecurity by reporting the fraud email to our official National Cyber Security Centre (also known as MELANI)
Please beware of any future scam emails, whether during Covid-19 pandemic or at any time by remembering the fact that: Swizzonic never ever requests your personal user access details per email.
